Firstday

Firstday gathers every "notify me at launch" signup for a crowdfunding campaign into one list, merges duplicates that came in through different channels, and scores each person as hot, warm or cool by how they found you. It then turns your own assumptions about conversion and pledge size into a launch-day range, so you can see before launch whether day one is likely to cover a meaningful share of the goal. Everything here is example data for a fictional campaign, and the forecast is only as good as the assumptions you set with the sliders.

The range applies ±40% around your rates. These rates are your own guesses, not industry figures; adjust them to what you believe about your audience.

What to try

  1. Drag the warm and cool sliders down to see how much of the forecast rests on people who barely know you.
  2. Raise the goal until the range falls well short, then compare it with the hot count. That gap is the outreach still needed before launch.
  3. Add a signup with an email already on the list (try sam.ortiz@example.com) and watch it merge instead of counting twice.
  4. Filter to hot signups: these are the people to message personally the night before launch.
